Played some golf…

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Shot +4 or so over nine holes.  Made a triple on the first hole after hitting my tee shot into the water and blading it over the green.  Went on to go par, bogey, and then par my way back to the clubhouse.  I managed to drive the ball a lot better and hit my irons fairly good.  Short game was surprisingly good for some reason, lots of up and downs from around the green for par lol.  All in all hopefully I’ll bring some positive energy into the upcoming tournament I need to play in on Thursday.

Photog-wise I’m waiting on a couple of “new” lenses.  Well, both of them are used but hopefully in good shape.  A Tamron 28-75mm and the somewhat well-known 90mm 2.8 macro.  The 90mm macro I managed to snag is the older non-DI version, but I’m not really anticipating any problems with internal reflections from my camera’s sensor.  Who knows though, maybe I’ll lose a bit of contrast or something.  I’ll probably post my impressions of both lenses when I receive them.  Only time will tell whether or not the copy of the 28-75 I’m getting is going to be sharp or not.

Rainy Sunday

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

It’s been raining here all day so I guess I won’t get a chance to go to the driving range to practice my golf swing.  I’ll probably need to stop by at least a couple of times to get my swing at least semi-consistent before that charity tournament next week.

Works been busy for a while now but I think I can finally see the end in sight.  There’s still other projects to worry about, but some of the major ones are finally reaching their end, at least for the short-term.  Put in more hours than usual last week, including about 6 yesterday.  Tomorrow will be a busy day but hopefully it will be a productive one.

In figure news, recently received Alter’s Hirasawa Yui.  Wrote up a review on for anybody interested.

Well, here’s hoping for a productive week.  Hopefully things will slow down enough for me to take a day off, but my boss mentioned this month is gonna be more crazy than the last so…hmm…who knows.
